Our Mission
Out Core Values
Welfare First: We use only force-free, "LIMA" (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) methods. If it’s not good for the animal, we don’t do it.
Holistic Approach: We don't just "fix" a bark or a scratch; we look at the whole pet—their health, their environment, and their emotions.
We believe that no animal is "broken." Whether it’s a rescue dog struggling with past trauma or a cat whose natural instincts are clashing with a modern home, there is always a reason for the behaviour.
Rescue-Centric: We specialize in the "invisible luggage" of rescue pets, helping them transition from survival mode to thriving mode.
Non-Judgmental Support: Life with a "difficult" pet is hard. We are here to support the humans just as much as the animals.
A Note on My Approach
I am currently finishing my final year of my degree, which means my clients benefit from the most up-to-date research in the field. My goal is to leave you feeling empowered, not overwhelmed.
Whether you’re dealing with a serious behavioural challenge or just want to understand your best friend a little better, I can’t wait to work with you.
At Caring About Paws our mission is simple:
To repair and strengthen the bond between humans and their pets through empathy, education, and evidence.
About Me
Rescue Advocate | Behaviour Consultant | Lifelong Learner
My journey into the world of animal behaviour didn't start in a lecture hall—it started in the quiet corners of rescue shelters and the busy corridors of boarding kennels.
For years, I’ve worked hands-on with dogs and cats from every imaginable background. I’ve sat with the shut-down rescue dog who was too afraid to cross a doorway, and I’ve managed the high-energy "catteries" where understanding feline body language isn't just a skill—it's a necessity
PACT Advocate
While my years in the trenches taught me empathy and patience, I wanted to provide more for the animals in my care. I wanted to understand the science of why they do what they do.
That’s why I decided to pursue my Degree in Canine and Feline Behaviour and Welfare. This academic journey has given me the tools to back up my instincts with evidence-based protocols. It’s one thing to love an animal; it’s another to truly speak their language. Caring About Paws is the result of merging those years of practical experience with the highest standards of modern animal science.
