Perfect Start: Puppy & Kitten Development Package

Bringing a new young animal into your home is an exciting milestone, but early development moves fast. The Perfect Start Package is a proactive, two-part service designed to build a strong foundation of trust, prevent common behavioural challenges before they start, and establish clear, force-free communication from day one.

Instead of waiting for frustration or unwanted habits to form, we set up your home, routine, and training to support your new companion's emotional and physical well-being.

Part 2: Practical Coaching & Follow-Up Session (60 Minutes)

  • Real-Time Skill Building: Held 2 to 3 weeks after your initial consult, this session focuses on active, hands-on skill development—such as loose-lead mechanics, recall foundations, gentle handling, cooperative care, and positive exposure routines.

  • Refining Techniques: We assess how your management tools are working, answer questions that have come up, and adjust training criteria to match your pet's learning pace.

  • Confidence & Socialisation Check: We evaluate your pet's socialisation experiences to ensure exposure remains positive, sub-threshold, and tailored to building true confidence rather than overarousal or fear.

Part 1: The Initial Foundation Consult (60 Minutes)

  • The Preparation: Before we meet, you will complete a detailed intake form sharing your new arrival's age, breed or background, routine, and home layout. Reviewing this in advance ensures our session is spent entirely on practical solutions.

  • Understanding Development & Instincts: We dive into species-appropriate development, normal instincts, and subtle body language. Understanding why puppies bite, mouth, and explore with their teeth—or why kittens pounce, climb, and scratch—helps you meet their biological needs constructively.

  • Proactive Environment & Management Setup: You will receive immediate, practical management strategies to handle toilet training, crate or resting routines, sleep schedules, biting, scratching, and learning to settle independently.
